PRESENTING OUR VERY OWN ARCHITECTURAL BOOK....... Our biggest project in several years is the book discribed below.
Many hours have been invested in compiling pictures and discriptions of the structures featured in the book. We are pleased to announce our book is now available to purchase! The public is always welcome and encouraged to attend our meetings. Amelia Rand, President ------------------------------------------------------------
"Architectural Styles of Fountain County, Indiana, Significant 19th & 20th Century Houses" It all began when member, Dennis Kovar, said, "We need a record of the historic structures before we loose some of them". Dennis and Bob Shepherd began what has culminated in a beautiful hardbound book with over 250 black & white photos of historic structures in Fountain County. The cover and back are color photos of eight homes and Cottrell Village. The following is taken from our order brochure: ...Historic Landmarks of Fountain County, Inc. intends to provide a record of some of the architecturally significant houses of Fountain County, Indiana. Although many other houses of historical significance exist within the county, only those having architectural significance have been included in this publication...... .........This volume records the styles of houses built during the early days of our county up through the Wabash & Erie Canal days, the early railroad years, and through the end of the nineteenth and beginning of the twentieth centuries. ......This publication is finished and available for purchase. Price of each book is $30. You may use the order form below or call one of the members listed to purchase a copy of this outstanding architectural publication. _______________________________________________________________________________________ ORDER FORM FOR "Architectural Styles of Fountain County, Indiana" "Significant 19th & 20th Century Houses" Name:_________________________________________________________________________ Address:_______________________________________________________________________ City:______________________________________State:_______Zip:_____________ Telephone:_____________________________________________________________ E-mail (optional):________________________________________________________ Number of books ordered:__________Total amount enclosed:_________________ Please mail to: Historic Landmarks of Fountain County, Inc., P.O.
